Sana'a - Saba:
Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi met on Saturday with Minister of Service and Administrative Development Dr. Khaled al-Hawali, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Merger, to discuss the progress made in merging the various included units.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister commended the overall efforts of the Vice Chairman, committee members, sectoral committees, and technicians in accomplishing this significant institutional step as part of the structural development program.
Al-Rahawi emphasized the importance of the merger in enhancing and developing the effectiveness and efficiency of the government apparatus, while also rationalizing spending.
He stressed the need to intensify efforts to complete the merging process promptly to ensure institutional stability and improve job performance in all units included in the merger.
Minister al-Hawali confirmed that the first phase of the merger process has been completed and noted that the organizational map would be prepared next week after the sectoral committees finalize their submissions.
He also mentioned that a workshop would be held for the sector committees and supporting technicians regarding the organizational structure based on the results of the first phase of the merger.
Additionally, a proposal has been prepared for the general and support departments at the ministerial and deputy ministerial levels in the various units involved in the merger.
