The First Deputy Prime Minister, Allama Mohammed Muftah, inspected on Tuesday the work progress at the Haran agricultural nurseries of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Dhamar, and the preparations for the afforestation campaign for the upcoming agricultural season.
Allama Muftah, along with Dhamar Governor Mohammed Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, Chairman of the General Authority for Zakat Shamsan Abu Nashtan, and Shura Council member Abdo Alawi, were briefed on the nurseries' activities and their contents of seedlings of fruit , ornamental trees and forestry, which will be planted during the afforestation campaign.
He urged to exert more efforts and work to expand the cultivation of fruit trees and trees with tangible benefits, which are suitable for the diverse agricultural climate of Dhamar province.
Dhamar governor reviewed the provincial leadership's plan to make the afforestation campaign a success, expand the planting of fruit trees, and promote the culture of agriculture among the community.
In turn, the Executive Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the province, Ahmed Al-Binaa, provided an explanation of the contents of the nurseries and their various seedling products, pointing out that the production capacity of the nurseries is 300,000 seedlings for this season, of various fruit , ornamental trees and forestry, which are suitable for the climate of Dhamar city.
For his part, the director of the agriculture sector in the province, Dr. Adel Omar, discussed the activities of the agriculture sector within the framework of the province's directorates, pointing to the efforts made to expand the cultivation of fruit trees and coffee, increase the production of cereals , legumes, and support efforts to establish agricultural nurseries in many directorates.
