Al-Mahwit - Saba:
The branch of the Yemen Red Crescent Society in Al-Mahwit Governorate inaugurated today a project to distribute shelter aid and hygiene kits to 178 families affected by rain and floods in the Directorate of Al-Mahwit City, with the support of the German Red Cross, as part of the emergency response project funded by the International Red Cross.
The aid included mattresses, blankets, and hygiene tools, where the Undersecretary of the Governorate, Abdul Salam Al-Dhamari, stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to alleviate the suffering of those affected, praising the role of the Yemeni Red Crescent and the German Red Cross in providing urgent humanitarian support.
The Director of the Red Crescent branch in Al-Mahwit, Murshid Al-Ali, explained that the distribution of aid comes within the "comprehensive humanitarian response", which includes "providing shelter and shelter assistance" in several directorates in the governorate, in coordination with the governorate's leadership to ensure support for the neediest families.
The beneficiary families expressed their appreciation for these efforts, stressing that the assistance contributed to alleviating their suffering in light of the difficult circumstances they are going through.
