Gaza - Saba:
The media advisor to the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Taher al-Nunu, confirmed on Thursday the movement's commitment to its pledges related to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, according to the timelines set by the mediators.
Al-Nunu told Al-Jazeera satellite channel: "We spoke clearly with the mediators that the occupation must abide by its obligations, and that any procrastination by the occupation is unacceptable."
Al-Nunu also emphasized to the mediators the need to immediately start talks on the second phase of the prisoner swap deal, noting that the role of the mediators is to remove obstacles to the agreement.
He added: "We are concerned with the ceasefire agreement, and we want the occupation to fulfill its commitments without compromise," he said, holding the occupation responsible for any delay in the second phase negotiations.
He continued: "However, the second phase negotiations have not started yet and we emphasize the need to start them immediately," he added, stressing that there are committees in Cairo to follow up on the implementation of the agreement in all its aspects.
