A meeting between the Customs Authority and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sana'a on Monday focused on strengthening cooperation and addressing challenges faced by traders.
Acting Head of the Customs Authority Adnan al-Ghafari and Head of the Chamber of Commerce Ali al-Hadi discussed issues facing traders, ways to resolve them, and how to enhance joint efforts to facilitate customs procedures. Deputy Head of the Capital Sana'a Ali al-Lahaji also attended the meeting.
Al-Ghafari emphasized the Customs Authority's commitment to building a strong partnership with the business sector, fostering mutual trust, and streamlining customs procedures to ensure the smooth flow of goods. He reiterated the Authority's dedication to providing services and simplifying procedures in line with national leadership directives.
He expressed the Authority's readiness to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Chamber of Commerce to formalize their cooperation.
Al-Hadi praised the Customs Authority's cooperation, particularly in addressing traders' concerns. He stressed the Chamber's commitment to coordinating with the Authority to resolve these issues and establish a joint working mechanism.
He highlighted the Chamber's dedication to enhancing cooperation with relevant government bodies to support investors, traders, and importers, and to establish cooperation protocols that contribute to national economic development.
