The offices of the General Authority for Endowments and Zakat in Saada Governorate organized a speech event to commemorate the eighteenth anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Majd al-Din al-Muayyadi under the slogan "Imam Majd al-Din, a Journey of Knowledge and Jihad."

In the event, Saada Governor Mohammed Awad explained that this anniversary comes as the Yemeni people have achieved the great victories that the late Sheikh al-Muayyadi aspired to, under the leadership of Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

He pointed out that if Sheikh al-Hujjah al-Muayyadi were present today, he would have been at the forefront of the mujahideen in the path of God on the fronts of honor and dignity.

Governor Awad addressed Sheikh Al-Muayyad saying: "Sleep soundly, my master, for the martyr leader carried the banner, carried the concerns of the nation and the Palestinian cause, and after him the Sayyid Leader who directed his rifle at the Zionist enemy who was troubling you in your life, with what he was weaving of evil conspiracies through the Wahhabi expansion or conspiracies against Zaidis." He pointed out that what Sheikh Al-Muayyad aspired to in terms of the elevation and supremacy of Islam and Muslims has been achieved at the hands of the martyr leader and Sayyid Leader, as Zaidi schools have been filled with their students and the opportunity is available to study and teach religious sciences in colleges, universities and schools, and everything he aspired to in terms of jihad and confronting the enemies of God and supporting the oppressed has been achieved.

The head of the Islamic Forum, Sheikh Ahmed Horia, pointed out that the mission of spreading the religion of God, writing, deducing the sciences of the Islamic religion and preserving them is one of the tasks of scholars throughout the ages.

He reviewed the efforts made by Sheikh Al-Muayyad in defending the religion of God with arguments and evidence during his scientific career against all those who were trying to divert the religion of God from its path and mislead people, from the scholars of misguidance.

He stressed that Sheikh Al-Muayyad tried during his life to carry out armed struggle, and when he was unable to do so, he turned to confrontation with knowledge by explaining to people and exposing misguidance, and confronting evil scholars through his scientific schools, writing, and responding to everyone who tries to divert people from the true religion of God, and distance them from the pure family.

Scholar Horiya praised the heroic and honorable Yemeni position in supporting the oppressed in Palestine and what they are exposed to from a war of extermination amidst Arab and Islamic failure.

He touched on the role of scholars in motivating people and pushing them to jihad for the sake of God, and rallying around the religion of God, indicating that knowledge calls for carrying weapons and jihad for the sake of God, citing the position of the Great Messenger who called for the religion of God and at the same time the grip of his sword never left his hand, jihad for the sake of God and opposing the infidels and hypocrites.

For his part, Sheikh Muhammad Abdul-Azim referred to the path of jihad for the sake of God from the beginning of the Muhammadan call and the great giving and jihad done by the Imams of the Household of the Prophet in all fields.

He reviewed the stations of the life of the late scholar Al-Muayyadi, stressing the importance of reviving the spirit of jihad for the sake of Allah, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and paying attention to religious sciences to prepare and raise scholars and learners.

In the event, which was attended by a number of the governorate’s agents, executive office directors, scholars and students, a poem was recited that referred to glimpses of the life of the late scholar and his virtues.
