Two Palestinian brothers narrowly escaped death on Tuesday after being brutally attacked by Zionist settlers while herding sheep.
Quds Press reported that brothers Ghanem and Muhammad Eid Zawahra, from the al-Mita area in the Jordan Valley, east of the West Bank, escaped certain death after being brutally attacked by Zionist settlers while herding sheep. They were severely beaten on the head, resulting in serious injuries.
Moataz Basharat, the settlement affairs official in the Tubas and Jordan Valley Governorate, said: "The attack resulted in a broken hand for Ghanem Zawahra, in addition to serious wounds and bruises all over their bodies."
Basharat pointed out that "this crime comes in the context of an escalation in ongoing attacks by Zionist settlers who seek to terrorize Palestinian shepherds and farmers with the aim of displacing them and seizing their lands."
He explained that "Zionist settlers continue their attacks under the protection of Zionist enemy forces amid escalating violations against Palestinians in the Jordan Valley, including livestock theft, grazing bans, land confiscation, and repeated physical assaults, amidst the absence of accountability for the perpetrators and the continued policy of impunity."
