The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that Russian forces had liberated the towns of Zaulishenka and Rubanshina in Russia's Kursk Oblast, noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost more than 220 soldiers in the past 24 hours.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "The Ukrainian forces' losses amounted to more than 220 soldiers, as well as a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored fighting vehicle, four vehicles, two field guns, two mortar launchers, a drone control point, and an ammunition depot."
The statement added, "Units of the Russian Northern Group managed, during offensive operations, to liberate the towns of Zaulishenka and Rubanshina.
