Sana'a-Saba:
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration, Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani was briefed on Wednesday on the progress of the project to restore houses damaged by the rains and floods in the Old City of Sana'a.
During the visit, accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry Nabil Al-Damashqi, President of the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities Abdulwahab Al-Mahdi, Director of the Old Sana'a Directorate Mahdi Arhab and the Directorate's mobilization officer, the Deputy Prime Minister was briefed on the work progress on the project that targets the restoration of damaged houses for the poorest families in the Old Sana'a.
Al-Madani stressed the importance of redoubling and coordinating efforts to implement the project with government and community participation, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities, Bunyan Development Foundation, General Mobilization, Knights of Development and the private sector of merchants in the old Sana'a.
It is noteworthy that the first phase of the project aims to restore 13 houses for the poorest and neediest families, with subsequent phases to include the rest of the 113 damaged houses.
