A detachment of Russian naval ships conducted a joint naval exercise with the Pakistani Navy in the Arabian Sea on Thursday, according to Sputnik News Agency.
Sputnik reported that the Russian detachment, consisting of the frigates "Razki" and "Geroy Rossiiskoi Federatsiy Aldar Tsydengapov" and the medium-range tanker "Pechenga" from the Pacific Fleet, conducted a joint PASIX naval exercise titled "Araveskiy Mosun" with the Pakistani Navy.
After departing the port of Karachi, the Pacific Fleet ships formed a joint detachment with the Pakistani frigate "Shah Jahan" and the corvette "Tabuk".
During the exercise, ships from both countries performed tactical maneuvering tasks and simulated repelling attacks by "enemy unmanned boats."
The crews then conducted an air defense exercise, with Pakistani fighter jets and patrol aircraft simulating anti-ship missile launches.
The joint exercise concluded with the liberation of a ship depicted as being under terrorist control, played by the oil tanker "Pishinga."
