Paris - Saba:
36 people were injured on Wednesday in a horrific traffic accident involving four French military buses.
Press reports indicated that the buses were carrying more than 120 people, including cadets from various military academies, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Gendarmerie. The cadets were returning from a visit to the Evreux Air Base.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred when a light vehicle attempted to wedge between the military buses, which were heading to Paris for a seminar, causing a chain reaction between the buses.
Large relief teams were deployed to the scene, including fire and rescue departments, who worked to evacuate the injured and secure the area.
Meanwhile, French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu expressed his sympathy for the injured and their families in a post on the X platform, saying, "My thoughts are with the injured, their families, and their schoolmates." He stressed that the authorities are working to provide all necessary support to those affected.
