Gaza - Saba:
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, released a short video on Saturday showing two Israeli prisoners, their faces camouflaged, demanding their release.
In the video, which was released under the title: "Soon... Time is running out," the prisoners said, "Bring us home, bring us back to life. We are dead here."
This comes a day after Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, held Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government fully responsible for the lives of Israeli prisoners on Friday.
Abu Obeida added: "If the Netanyahu government cared about them, it would have adhered to the agreement it signed in January, and most of them would probably be in their homes today."
The military spokesman for the Qassam Brigades stated that "half of the living Israeli prisoners are located in areas that the Israeli army has requested to be evacuated in recent days."
The spokesman confirmed that the Qassam Brigades decided not to transfer the prisoners from these areas and to keep them under strict security measures, which are extremely dangerous to their lives.
Abu Obeida explained, "If the enemy is concerned about the lives of these prisoners, it must immediately negotiate their evacuation or release. He who warns is excused."
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli army announced the start of an expanded ground military operation in the northern Gaza Strip.
