The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that its air defense systems destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight.
The ministry said in a statement: "The air defense systems on duty destroyed 11 Ukrainian drones, including eight over the territory of Rostov Oblast, two over the territory of Kursk Oblast, and one over the territory of Belgorod Oblast."
In response, Ukrainian officials announced that Russia carried out an air attack on the Mykolaiv region in southern Ukraine, injuring three people and causing several fires.
The Ukrainian Air Force also announced today that its air defenses shot down 13 of the 23 missiles and 40 of the 109 drones launched by Russia in an overnight attack.
The military administration in Kyiv stated that Russia launched a new wave of air attacks on the Ukrainian capital, causing fires in the Darnytskyi and Obolon regions.
