Sana’a – Saba:
Capital Secretary Dr. Hamoud Obad inspected on Tuesday the extent of damage to citizens' homes caused by the U.S. aggression targeting Sha'b al-Hafa neighborhood in the Shu’ub District.
Dr. Obad, accompanied by Dr. Abdulwahab Sharafuddin, Head of the Emergency Operations Room in the Capital, Deputy Secretary Najy Al-Qawsi, Mohammed Al-Hadhrami, Secretary-General of the Shu’ub Local Council, and Abdullah Al-Koul, Director of Mobilization in the district, listened to residents explain the major damage and losses to their homes and property, and the terror they experienced due to the criminal U.S. attack, which resulted in the death and injury of nearly 30 people, most of them women and children.
The Capital Secretary condemned the targeting of citizens’ homes in this and other residential neighborhoods in the capital and governorates, calling it a terrorist act that reflects the enemy’s insistence on spilling civilian blood and killing women and children, in full view of the world and the international community.
He emphasized that this and other brutal crimes expose the true criminal nature of the U.S. against the Yemeni people and the nations of the region, holding the U.S. administration responsible for every drop of blood shed in Yemen.
Dr. Obad reaffirmed that the Yemeni people will not waver in their firm stance supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, no matter the challenges or sacrifices. He also stressed the Capital Secretariat's commitment to supporting the families affected by the U.S. aggression.
He further noted that the repeated targeting of civilians and residential areas in the Capital Secretariat by U.S. forces constitutes full-fledged war crimes and a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and conventions.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Al-Hadhrami said that after the horrific crime committed against the family of citizen Saleh Al-Suhaili, a team was dispatched to the crime scene in Sha'b al-Hafa to recover bodies of women and children from beneath the rubble and to provide emergency aid to the injured.
Ali Al-Suhaili confirmed that the U.S. terrorist crime, which claimed the lives of his brother Saleh’s family members, is a war crime that does not expire with time.
He added that all the blood spilled by the American enemy is for the sake of God and on the path to Jerusalem, affirming that such crimes will only strengthen the Yemeni people’s resolve to stand by the Palestinian people and their just cause until victory.
