Dozens demonstrated in New York State, USA, demanding the release of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, who was issued a deportation order by an immigration judge in Louisiana.
The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that demonstrators held a sit-in in front of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Administration headquarters and other areas of the city, including Trump Tower and the famous Times Square.
The demonstrators emphasized that activist Khalil and the activists arrested by local authorities are exercising their legitimate right to peaceful expression, and that their arrest and deportation set a dangerous precedent that violates freedom of expression and human rights.
