Sana'a - Saba:
The Yemeni Scholars Association organized a meeting titled "No Excuse Before God for Not Supporting Gaza and Palestine" in Sana'a, to affirm the religious stance on supporting the Palestinian cause and the responsibility of scholars.
During the meeting, Judge Alawi bin Aqeel, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, emphasized the necessity of activating the obligation of jihad in the face of Zionist and American aggression. He stated that scholars legally must clarify Islam's position on the events. He criticized fatwas that restrict support for Gaza to conditions of attendance or permission from a guardian.
The Grand Mufti of Bayda, Sheikh Hussein al-Hadar, pointed out that humanitarian slogans collapse in the face of the genocide the Palestinians are being subjected to, emphasizing the necessity of steadfastness and patience. He called for the unity of the nation and prepared people for jihad, considering it a sacred religious obligation.
Sheikh Muhammad Tahir An'am emphasized that jihad is not limited to fighting but includes words, stances, advocacy, and awareness-raising, noting that what is happening today in Palestine requires immediate support from everyone.
Scholar Al-Qasim Al-Saraji emphasized the duty of scholars to defend the nation and unite against the occupation, emphasizing that remaining silent about crimes is not part of Islam and that jihad today is an individual obligation.
The meeting, attended by a number of scholars and leaders, emphasized the need to revive the duty of jihad and consider supporting Gaza a religious, moral, and humanitarian obligation.
