The Islamic Revolution Leader in Iran, Imam Ali Khamenei, stressed the need for the Iranian Armed Forces to continue enhancing maximum readiness to fulfill its responsibility as the nation's fence and the people's refuge in the face of any aggressor.
In a meeting with senior commanders and officials of the Iranian Armed Forces on Sunday, according to IRNA, he explained that the material readiness of the armed forces means enhancing their armament capabilities, improving their organizational and living capabilities, in addition to programmatic preparations that mean belief in the goal, mission and certainty of the path legitimacy.
He criticized the double standards adopted by the world order in allowing themselves to possess the most cruel , disastrous types of weapons and preventing the defensive progress of others.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri noted that the Iranian Armed Forces have on their agenda this year to enhance defense and deterrence capabilities, produce advanced equipment , weapons, and conduct numerous maneuvers.
