Hodeida - Saba:
A team from the UN mission (UNHMA), headed by Mohammed Rafiq Al Islam, on Wednesday inspected the damage caused by the US aggression targeting the branch building of the General Authority for Maritime Affairs in the port of Hodeida with several raids, which led to its destruction and put it out of service.
The team heard from director of the authority's branch Dr. Ibrahim al-Mushki, an explanation of the extensive damage to the building and its technical facilities as a result of its bombing by the aggression, and the serious repercussions this has on the safety of navigation and the marine environment.
He explained that the authority is a civilian facility and an active member of the International Maritime Organization, whose targeting is prohibited by international laws and agreements.
The UN team expressed its deep dismay at the extent of the destruction to the building, stressing that the mission will make every effort to record and document the damage caused by the bombing.
The UN mission team visited the docks at Hodeida port and observed the efforts of the port's leadership and workers in receiving ships and unloading their food cargo.
