The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the number of journalists killed since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 212. This follows the latest crime committed by the Zionist enemy, which targeted a journalists’ tent near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
In a press statement, the Government Media Office reported that this attack resulted in the death of journalist Saeed Amin Abu Hassanein, who worked for Al-Aqsa Voice Radio.
The office condemned the Zionist enemy’s deliberate targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists. It called on the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), the Arab Journalists Union, and all media organizations worldwide to denounce these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media workers in Gaza.
The statement held the Zionist enemy, the U.S. administration, and complicit nations involved in the genocide—such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France—fully responsible for this brutal and heinous crime.
The Government Media Office urged the international community, global organizations, and press freedom groups to condemn the occupation’s crimes, hold it accountable, and pursue legal action in international courts to deliver justice for its ongoing atrocities.
Additionally, it demanded serious and effective pressure to halt the genocide, ensure the protection of journalists in Gaza, and end their targeted killings and assassinations.
