Al-Hodeida - SABA:
The Educational Sector and the Higher Institute for Teacher Training in Al-Hodeidah Governorate organized an intellectual and educational event today to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan “Far from Us is Humiliation.”
During the event, First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri emphasized that Imam Hussein offered the ultimate example of sacrifice for principles and stood as a powerful symbol in resisting tyranny and corruption. He described the anniversary as a profound educational milestone that renews allegiance to truth and reinforces steadfastness on the path of enlightenment, freedom, and dignity.
Al-Bishri noted that commemorating the events of Karbala holds even greater significance in light of the challenges facing the Yemeni people. He affirmed that Yemenis draw inspiration from the legacy of Imam Hussein in their continued defense of sovereignty and dignity, regardless of the cost.
He also stressed the importance of instilling the revolutionary and faith-based values embodied by Imam Hussein in students and educators alike, to help cultivate a generation equipped with awareness and insight—capable of standing up for the nation and supporting just causes throughout the Islamic world.
