The Al-Ahrar Palestinian Movement stated on Thursday that the actions of certain merchants and currency exchange shops—who are exploiting the suffering of the Palestinian people amid the ongoing genocide—amount to a “role swap with the Zionist enemy in crushing the will and resilience of our people, pressuring the Palestinian negotiator to abandon the struggle, and drowning him in concessions on national and legitimate rights and principles.”
In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the movement held “all traders—big and small—and anyone who dares to undermine internal unity, incite strife, or destabilize food and security conditions” responsible for contributing to the enemy’s efforts to engineer starvation and use it as a weapon of war against the Palestinian people.
It described those involved in such practices as “active partners in these crimes and in the deaths of every hungry person who has perished.”
The movement warned that “everyone is under the scope of responsibility and punishment, and we will show no leniency or mercy. The just law will be applied to anyone proven to have manipulated the sustenance and suffering of our people for illicit profit or excessive wealth. And tomorrow is not far.”
