Tunis – Saba:
Tunisia condemned on Saturday the Zionist enemy's declaration of "vile intention" to reoccupy the entire Gaza Strip, calling for an end to the genocidal crimes to which Palestinians have been subjected in the Strip for more than 21 months.
The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: "Tunisia strongly condemns the occupying entity's declaration of its vile intentions to reoccupy the entire Gaza Strip, disperse its population, and confine them to a narrow part of it."
It considered this Zionist plan "a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions, a blatant assault on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, and a desperate attempt to liquidate their cause, break their will to defend their legitimate rights, and force them to abandon their land."
The Tunisian Foreign Ministry affirmed that "this plan constitutes a new chapter in the crimes of the Zionist entity and its disregard for the international community, morality, and human values, which are becoming increasingly horrific and brutal by the day. This places all global powers, the international community, and its UN system, particularly the Security Council, at a critical moment in which it must decide its position regarding the future of the world and human rights and justice."
It urged the UN Security Council to "abide by its duty to stop the crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and provide them with the necessary protection," reiterating its "unconditional support for the brotherly Palestinian people in their struggle to regain their legitimate, inalienable, and imprescriptible rights."
It affirmed its "firm and supportive position in support of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent and fully sovereign state on all of Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital."
