SANA'A, Feb. 05 (Saba) - Last Monday, the Dhofar Museum in Ibb province was robbed, resulting in the theft of two antique pieces, one of which is a Sabaean Hamiri seal and the second is a Brunei piece with an inscription within 13 lines.

Vice President of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums, Abdullah Thabet, told Saba that the theft resulted from making a hole in the door and breaking one of the furnaces.

He praised the speedy interaction of the security services, taking fingerprints, and seizing two suspects, and said, "The investigation is still underway to complete the legal procedures."

Abdullah Thabet praised to quickly recover the two antiquities, explaining that the two pieces are documented, museum-numbered and photographed, and have two local and international museum numbers.

"All the security services have been informed of the specifications of these pieces," he said, pointing out that the museum was closed and stripped and only these two pieces were found stolen and the rest of the pieces were present.
