SANA'A March 13. 2023 (Saba) - The leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abd al-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, stressed the importance of the preachers role in reminding the nation of God's guidance, addressing negative phenomena in society, and keeping abreast of developments in reality, whether within the nation or on the part of its enemies, in which society needs awareness and reminders.
In his speech on Monday, during an expanded meeting of the preachers and guides of the Republic provinces, the revolution leader touched on the importance of the mosque preachers role in terms of reminding the nation of the guidance of God Almighty and striving to guide people, and calling to God Almighty, and this is a great and sacred responsibility and represents a necessary need for society.
He pointed out the need to be keen on guiding people and having mercy on them from the consequences of deviation from God’s religion, and the consequences of violating God’s instructions and the consequent great dangers to people.
He pointed out the importance of a person keen on guiding people and that his main reliance in reminding, informing and calling to God is the Noble Qur'an, and this is a very important issue. Indicating that the Prophet, may God’s prayers be upon him and his family, his main mission was centered around that communication and reminder of the Qur’an and warning of it, this is why God Almighty's words are repeated in the Quranic verses in reminding and warning of the Quran.
And he said: “The Holy Qur’an is a great book and God’s words and guidance to His servants, and it is a great influence and blessing, and when you present the Holy Qur’an to people, you are giving them the most informative sermon, the best speech, and the finest reminder, and for this God Almighty says about the level of the Qur’anic influence (Had We sent down this Koran upon a mountain, you would have seen it humble itself and split asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the parables we strike for people so that they will reflect), that is, if it was sent down on a mountain with its solid rocks, it would affect it to the point that it would humiliate and crack out of fear of God.
The leader of the revolution pointed out that the Qur’an is an eloquent sermon for man, and the words of God have a great impact on the human psyche, feelings and conscience, as it is a healing for what is in the breasts, because the Qur’an has a great impact in purifying the human soul and addressing many problems, doubts and negative deposits in the human heart.
He explained that the Noble Qur’an is the healing, guiding, influential, and beneficial exhortation, and it has a great impact and God Almighty has made it easy for remembrance, and no preacher needs to turn into an interpreter and if he undertakes to interpret and delve deeper into what he does not know, or to go beyond the limits of his knowledge by taking a risk, then he falls into a caveat to say about God what he does not know, and this is a serious issue. Stressing the need for people to be keen on mastering the reading of Quranic verses.
And he added: “In addition to the Holy Qur’an, the hadith of the Prophet comes within the framework of the Qur’anic texts and their context, and from trusted and reliable sources. If the text of the hadith is within the framework of the Qur’anic text, in the same context and content, this is what helps a person to choose a reliable text, in addition to any other texts from the ruling, or the sayings of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, as they are from the sources from which the preacher can quote.
Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi stated that some preachers adopt an inaccurate style at the level of topics, so he adopts the style of the diaspora in the way he presents, so he does not have a specific program that focuses on him in his way of speaking and what he presents to those present in the mosque, as his style is dispersed, does not focus on fundamental issues that he seeks to correct and does not take into account the knowledge and awareness building of those who listen.
He pointed out that the state of diaspora lacks many important things, and the preacher is supposed to have specific and clear interests and notice the basic things in the forefront of which are the title of faith and the consolidation of faith affiliation, and this is a comprehensive issue and a basic title from which the rest of the details branch out.
He stressed the importance of focusing on the faith aspect in his major titles, "Faith in God, His Angels, and His Messengers' Books, on the Day of Resurrection," and the consolidation of fear of God's punishment, faith and confidence in His promise and threat, all of which are basic issues that must be entrenched in society so that it becomes largely receptive to and committed to the rest of the practical details. . Stressing the need to focus on faith values and obedience to God Almighty, and to warn against sins and their bad consequences in this world and the Hereafter.
He pointed to the importance of recalling the basic responsibilities of faith according to what was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, such as jihad in the way of God, enjoining good and forbidding evil, cooperation in righteousness and piety, unity of word and clinging to the rope of God, warning against division and disagreement, and enlightening and educating society about enemies and their conspiracies and machinations against the nation.
The Leader of the Revolution also stressed the importance of reminding of moral commitment, honorable morals, and Islamic and Quranic values, as they are among the important matters that came in the Prophet’s hadith, “I was sent to complement morals.” Pointing out that the nation is targeted in its morals.
He pointed out that society needs continuous education on morals and honorable morals, which is an issue that the Holy Qur’an focused on and is considered one of the most important roles and responsibilities of the Messenger, may God’s prayers be upon him and his family, in his saying, Glory be to Him, "to purify them". Pointing out that purifying souls and educating them on good morals is one of the most important things in Islam and the Holy Quran.
And he stressed the importance of education on good morals and protecting society from the corrupting war that targets it in its morals, because it is greater than what the enemies focus on at this stage is targeting the nation in its morals, values and chastity, and trying to spread vice, corruption, evils and abominations.
Accordingly, society needs a strong immunization against that.. stressing the importance of raising awareness and focusing on society’s issues, concerns and problems, addressing negative phenomena, and keeping abreast of important developments, whether within the nation or on the part of its enemies, in which society needs to educate and remind.
And he continued: "One of the important things is to remind the spiritual and worship side, and to draw people to pay attention to the pillars of Islam, and to link these pillars and worships with their goals of purification and purification of souls, and to preserve man from slipping into sins, vices and corruptions."
The leader of the revolution stressed the importance of these addresses being present in an organized manner in the preachers' program, and that the Ministry of Guidance and the Endowments Authority be helpful in this, by scheduling the interests of the preachers and the path of their presentation of sermons.
He stated that one of the most important things that benefit the preacher in his performance, his influence, and the people’s benefit from his sermons is that he be a model and a good example and present a decent image of religion with his commitment to faith and religiosity, in addition to being interested in preparing in advance to come up with what is useful and beneficial. Pointing out the importance of the preacher keen on performing well in his style and that the content be good, useful, arranged and organized so that the listener comes out with what is useful and beneficial to him.
He said, "With regard to Friday sermons, preachers should be keen to make them proportionate, not too long, not tiring for the listeners, and to be as brief as possible, because lengthy ones tire some or make them bored, so being short as possible is very important. In addition to taking into account the level of the listeners, and that among them is the layman to whom understandable phrases should be presented, and that the focus be on important issues that people need, and what touches their reality more.
He added: "It is important during the blessed month of Ramadan to focus intensively on reminding people and connecting them with God Almighty, and for them to be aware of the educational importance of the month of Ramadan in its fasting, prayers and blessings, and the opportunity to do good in it, and to draw closer to God Almighty and related matters, in addition to urging zakat and take care of it.”
The leader of the revolution pointed out that there is great negligence in the issue of zakat and the influence of the past stage.. explaining that zakat is a great pillar of Islam and was associated in the Holy Qur’an with prayer in terms of enjoining it, emphasizing and urging it, as well as in the noble prophetic sayings, stressing the importance of reminding people Zakat because it is a very important issue, and breaching it is dangerous for people in their religion and their world.
He stated that endowments were greatly affected in the past stage, and many endowments were lost, which requires reminding people of such matters, as well as reminding people of inheritance grievances, women's dowries, and other matters that should be taken care of.
He also stressed the need to pay attention to the lived reality at this stage, foremost of which is that the conflict with the enemies of Islam is at its most intense, and they move with all capabilities and means and wage an all-out war against the nation through military, security, political, cultural, intellectual and economic targeting.
And he added: "The preacher must move as a fighter in the way of God, and be among those who follow the example of God's prophets and messengers, and he must stand up to the enemies in their cultural war and their endeavor to corrupt the nation." Pointing out that there is a campaign targeting the nation even from within it, and there are those who preoccupy bad scholars in some states and countries openly loyal to America and Israel to present a distorted image of Islam, in line with the orientations of the enemies of Islam and what they focus on in terms of diluting and corrupting the nation and stripping it of the spirit of responsibility and spiritual faith.
At the end of his speech, the leader of the revolution stressed the need to pay attention to urging people to cooperate in righteousness and piety, and to help the distressed, the weak, the poor, and the needy.
