SANA'A April 14. 2023 (Saba)- 125 prisoners from the prisons of aggression in Aden province arrives on Friday at Sana'a International Airport, in exchange for 69 prisoners from the other side, in implementation of the Swiss agreement.
An official reception ceremony took place for the heroic prisoners at Sana’a International Airport, attended by members of the Supreme Political Council, Ghaleb Al-Rahwi and Sultan Al-Sami’i, heads of parliaments Yahya Al-Ra’i, ministers Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, the Supreme Judiciary, Judge Ahmed Al-Mutawakel, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, and Director of the Presidency Office Ahmed Hamed Minister of Transport Abdul-Wahhab Al-Durrah, Guidance, Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Najeeb Al-Aji, Agriculture and Irrigation, Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr, Minister of State Dr. Hamid Al-Mezjaji, and Minister of Justice, Judge Nabil Al-Azzani, and the head of the General Authority for Zakat, Shamsan Abu Nashtan, a number of members of the Shura Council, military and security leaders, and a large gathering of the Yemeni people and the families of the prisoners.
During the reception, a member of the Supreme Political Council, Al-Sami'ee, said, "We are at Sana'a Airport, receiving a number of our heroic prisoners who spent years in enemy prisons, and we bid farewell Yemeni prisoners to the other side."
He added, "The Yemeni reconciliation between us takes precedence over any reconciliation with other foreign parties to the aggression."
Al-Samei expressed his hope that negotiation and agreement would take place on all for all in the coming month of Shawwal, the release of all our Yemeni prisoners from both sides, and we would return to dialogue with the Yemenis with the parties that were hands of aggression.
On the one hand, a member of the Supreme Political Council, Al-Rahwi, affirmed that "the prisoners deserve to be received as heroes, because they spent a long period in the prisons of aggression and they are steadfast."
This day was considered a great achievement and a great entitlement through the ability of the Sana'a negotiating delegation in Switzerland to produce good and successful results.
For their part, a number of prisoners expressed their joy at their return to their families, stressing that the joy is great and their confidence in the interest of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in the file of the prisoners and in working for their release.
The prisoners confirmed that they were subjected to inhumane treatment in the prisons of the aggression and their mercenaries in Aden province.
