Baghdad - Saba:
An Iraqi security source revealed today,Saturday the destruction of nine rest-houses and seizure of explosive belts of the terrorist organization "Daesh" in Anbar province, west of Baghdad.
"Counter-terrorism forces hit ISIS hideouts in al-Rutba district and destroyed nine rest-houses," the source said.
"Explosive belts and explosives were also found," he said.
A joint force has launched a large-scale military operation in Anbar desert against the remnants of the ISIS terrorist organization.
According to Iraqi security sources, the operation targeted ISIS rest-houses in rugged areas, which are used as safe havens and staging centers for operations against security forces.
Earlier, the Iraqi intelligence service revealed that a number of senior ISIS leaders were killed in an operation carried out by the service in cooperation with the international coalition in Anbar province, 118 kilometers west of Baghdad.
