GAZA May 24. 2024 (Saba) - Medical sources in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Friday that the Zionist enemy forces deliberately disable hospitals.
The same sources explained that the sole transformer supplying al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip with electricity has stopped due to fuel depletion, signaling a major health catastrophe, as approximately one million and five hundred thousand people in Rafah rely on it, according to the Palestinian news agency, Wafa.
They also warned that the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah is on the verge of being disabled due to daily targeting.
The sources noted that hospitals are operating beyond capacity to accommodate and treat the wounded as a result of the continuous aggression for the past 231 days.
Since Friday morning, the occupation forces have been advancing towards Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, besieging some of its medical staff and the wounded.
In a preliminary toll, the number of martyrs has risen since the start of the occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th of last year to 35,800 martyrs, in addition to 80,200 wounded.
