BEIRUT August 01. 2024 (Saba) - Lebanese sources announced on Thursday evening that a number of Lebanese and displaced Syrians were killed and wounded in a Zionist bombardment targeting the town of Shamaa in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that three people were killed and five others were wounded in the initial toll of a Zionist raid on the town of Shamaa in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese media reported that the shelling on the town of Shamaa led to the death of a mother and her children from a displaced Syrian family, and a number of Lebanese wounded in the raid that targeted a house.
On Tuesday evening, the Zionist enemy assassinated the prominent leader of the "Hezbollah" Fouad Shukr, 63, following an air strike on a building in the southern suburb of Beirut, which also killed seven other people, including two children and three women, and wounded dozens.
The Zionist enemy is waiting for a retaliatory response from "Hezbollah" after their assassination Shukr, and is preparing for a response from Iran and Hamas to the assassination of the head of the movement's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, through a rocket attack in Tehran, on Wednesday morning.
