MOSCOW August 18. 2024 (Saba) - A representative of the Russian security authorities announced today, Sunday, that the Russian armed forces destroyed a Ukrainian enemy unit in Kursk region.
Sputnik Agency quoted the representative of the Russian security authorities as saying in statements that: "A group of sixteen soldiers from the 225th separate assault battalion of the Ukrainian army 115th mechanized brigade was destroyed near the Kremiano village in the Kursk region."
It explained that the enemy unit was eliminated in the forest, which was confirmed by footage taken from a drone.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on its Telegram page that Russian military personnel targeted an armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Lancet ammunition that was located in the Kursk region border area .
The statement continued: "The reconnaissance unit of the Northern Forces Group spotted an armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using aerial reconnaissance."
The Russian Defense Ministry explained that after verification, "the detected target was hit using Lancet ammunition."
