HODEIDA August 19. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in Al-Hodeidah Governorate launched n Monday, shelter and food aid for a number of families affected by floods in Al-Hodeida Governorate.
The aid targeted 1,358 families in the districts of Ad-Dhuhi, Al-Luhayyah and At-Tuhayyat as part of humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of families who suffered severe damage due to heavy rains and torrential floods.
The director of the council's branch in the governorate, Jaber Al-Razihi, and his deputy, Abdullah Al-Ahdal, explained that the aid targeted 200 affected families in Ad-Dhuhi District with shelter materials provided by the Generation of Construction Foundation, 100 families in Ad-Duraihimi District with food baskets and livestock, and 300 families in Al-Luhayyah District with food baskets provided by the "Wissam Al-Hayat" Foundation.
They also pointed out the distribution of shelter materials and mattresses to 600 families affected by the floods in At Tuhayat District, provided by Beit Hael Association, and 333 emergency response bags in Zabid, Bajil and Al Sukhna, provided by the "Roya Amal" organization.
