Montreal - Saba:
The inaugural conference of the Coordinating Council for Palestine (CC4P) in Montreal, Canada, took place over two days on November 1 and 2, bringing together academics, lawyers, doctors, media professionals, artists and activists who support Palestine in consecutive seminars and panel discussions under the theme "Together to free Palestine."

The conference statement read: "Our conference comes at a crucial time, amid more than a year of ongoing US-Zionist genocide against the Palestinians, heroic resistance by the Palestinians, and rising global movements calling for the liberation of Palestine."

The statement added: "This conference provides a unique platform for progressive organizations to explore and discuss the critical issues shaping the struggle for Palestinian liberation today. This initiative aims to bring together a diverse group of individuals , cultural and political organizations to promote meaningful dialogue and collaborative action."

A number of sessions, panel discussions and seminars were held during the conference, with the participation of a number of university professors, lawyers, activists and journalists.

On its first day, the conference featured a concert by the Iraqi band Nesmat, where attendees were treated to revolutionary songs for Palestine and Lebanon, including "I Call You," "For Beirut," "Palestine My Country," and "That's a Cause."
