Dhamar - Saba:
The General Authority for Endowments in Dhamar province, in collaboration with the administration of Shamsiya School, organized on Tuesday a commemorative event to mark the annual Martyr's Day and honor the families of the martyrs.
The event, attended by General Mobilization Officer Ahmed al-Dhorani, province undersecretaries Mahmoud al-Jabin, and several executive office directors, featured speeches that emphasized the significance of commemorating the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Faisal al-Hutfi, Director of Awqaf Authority in Dhamar, highlighted the importance of reflecting on the martyrs’ sacrifices, which paved the way for the nation's victories and the defense of its sovereignty.
He underscored that Martyr's Day serves as a reminder of the martyrs' critical role in resisting foreign conspiracies and threats against the country.
Al-Hutfi also linked the commemoration with the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people, who have been enduring brutal violence and siege for over a year, drawing parallels between their fight and the sacrifices of Yemeni martyrs.
He emphasized that the martyrs’ legacy teaches the values of sacrifice and redemption, urging the nation to continue supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese causes.
Rafad Abu Shaya, representing preachers and guides, and cultural activist Zakaria al-Washli also spoke at the event. They stressed the moral and spiritual significance of the martyrs' sacrifices, asserting that their actions were in defense of religion, justice, and national sovereignty. They called on the Yemeni people to honor the martyrs' legacy by standing in solidarity with those oppressed by tyranny, particularly the people of Palestine and Lebanon, who continue to suffer under the Zionist occupation.
The speakers highlighted the nation's responsibility to carry forward the martyrs’ mission, ensuring that the struggle for justice and the defense of sanctities continues. They condemned the ongoing silence from the international community and Arab governments in the face of the atrocities committed by Israel, backed by the United States and Western powers, in Gaza and Lebanon.
The event concluded with a call to action, urging the people to remain steadfast in supporting the nation's causes and to reject foreign interference and occupation.
