The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) confirmed that the Zionist enemy army's deliberate and direct destruction of its property is a violation of international law and Resolution 1701.
UNIFIL said on Friday that the Zionist enemy army destroyed on Thursday part of a fence and a concrete structure at our site in Ras al-Naqoura, noting that the Zionist army's actions related to our forces near the Blue Line are deliberate and direct.
France condemned the incident involving peacekeepers on Thursday, following an attack near a UNIFIL convoy near Saida, despite the fact that their route of travel had been announced in advance.
In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted that five peacekeepers of Malaysian nationality were injured in this incident, while five other peacekeepers have already been killed in recent weeks following deliberate and unjustified Zionist attacks, stressing that these attacks must stop.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized the importance of ensuring the protection of peacekeepers , the safety and security of UN personnel, property , sites, and the importance of UNIFIL being able to fully implement its mandate, including freedom of movement.
