The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that its forces have successfully taken control of the town of Kolesnikovka, located in Kharkiv province, in eastern Ukraine.
The Russian forces reportedly eliminated 1,880 Ukrainian soldiers during the past 24 hours, while also destroying a significant number of tanks, armored vehicles, and Western-supplied weapons belonging to Ukrainian forces.
In its daily update on the ongoing military operation in Donbass, the Ministry stated that Russian forces had liberated Kolesnikovka and repelled 12 Ukrainian attacks in the Donetsk region.
The Russian military also claimed to have improved their positions on multiple fronts.
In addition to ground operations, Russian forces continued to target Ukrainian military infrastructure.
The Ministry highlighted the destruction of military airports, bomb manufacturing and testing sites for Ukrainian "Sapsan" missiles, as well as warehouses for drone assembly, fuel depots, and a logistics center.
Russian forces also destroyed Western artillery, including several cannons and rocket launchers, along with a number of ammunition and electronic warfare stations.
Among the vehicles destroyed were two American "Max Pro" armored vehicles and two Ukrainian "Kozak" vehicles.
Moreover, the Russian military reported shooting down 39 Ukrainian drones and four French-made "Hummer" guided bombs during the course of the operations.
These developments are part of the ongoing Russian military efforts in the region, which have resulted in intensified clashes and significant territorial shifts in the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine.
