Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Dhafullah Rassam, and First Undersecretary of the Capital Sana'a Khaled al-Madani on Sunday inaugurated a series of field visits and the distribution of symbolic gifts to the families of martyrs in al-Safiyah district, as part of the annual Martyr’s Day commemoration.
During the event, Rassam, al-Madani, and Abdullah al-Maafa, Head of General Mobilization in al-Safiyah, along with executive leaders and social figures, visited several martyr families, conveying the greetings of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and the Supreme Political Council.
The families were honored with symbolic gifts and certificates of appreciation from the Capital Secretariat, the Martyrs’ Families Care Authority, and the General Mobilization, in recognition of their loved ones’ sacrifices for the defense of the nation’s sovereignty.
The visitors emphasized that these visits reflect the leadership’s deep commitment to the martyrs' families, acknowledging the enormous sacrifices made by their loved ones who gave their lives in defense of Yemen’s dignity and honor.
They praised the families’ steadfastness and the vital role they play in Yemen’s struggle for independence and justice.
The commemorations underscored that the blood of the martyrs has brought Yemen honor, victory, and empowerment, challenging the forces of global arrogance and oppression.
Martyrs’ Day serves as a reminder of their heroic sacrifices and the principles of the revolutionary project initiated by Sayyed Hussein al-Houthi, promoting the Qur’anic and faith-based identity across Yemen.
The families of the martyrs expressed their gratitude for the ongoing care and attention from the leadership and affirmed their commitment to following in the footsteps of the martyrs, proudly continuing their struggle for freedom and dignity.
They hailed the martyrs as the true heroes of the nation, whose sacrifices continue to inspire future generations.
