Geneva - Saba:
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) confirmed today, Tuesday, that more than 200 Lebanese children have been killed and 1,100 others injured in almost two months since the Zionist aggression against Lebanon escalated in September.
"More than 200 children have been killed in Lebanon in less than two months, an average of more than three children a day," UNICEF spokesman James Elder said in a press statement.
"A disturbing trend is emerging: these deaths are being treated with indifference by those in a position to stop the violence," Elder said.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday that the death toll since the start of the ongoing Zionist aggression on Lebanon has reached 3,516 martyrs and 14,929 wounded.
