The First Deputy Governor of Al-Hodeida Province, Ahmed Al-Bishri, inaugurated a number of computer labs at the Department of Information Technology at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Al-Hodeida.
At the inauguration, the Undersecretary listened to an explanation about these laboratories, their functions and importance, as part of the university's efforts to normalize the return of a number of departments and colleges on the university campus.
He praised the great efforts exerted by the presidency of Al-Hodeida University to return many colleges and departments to the main campus, which was systematically destroyed by the aggression coalition countries and their mercenaries, especially during periods of escalation on the province.
For his part, the university president reviewed the catastrophic damage caused by the aggression on the university's infrastructure, which rendered 80 percent of the buildings, colleges and educational facilities completely out of service.
He also briefed the First Deputy Governor on the limited maintenance, restoration and furnishing operations carried out by the university before launching the return of studies to the main campus, which has been deprived of it for more than four years.
He called for the concerted efforts of all official and private institutions to cooperate and support the maintenance, restoration, rehabilitation and furnishing of the remaining destroyed buildings.
