Sana'a - Saba:
Sana'a University on Wednesday witnessed a significant student presentation for the graduates of the "al-Aqsa Flood" courses, with the participation of 2,500 students from all faculties of the university.
The student procession began at the Faculty of Education, passing through the Faculty of Languages, and culminated in the main square of the university. The participants chanted slogans condemning the American-Zionist aggression, which has been responsible for heinous massacres and genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The parade, which included 23 banners bearing the names of the martyrs and great leaders on al-Quds Road, expressed the students' readiness and determination to support the Palestinian resistance, which is engaged in heroic battles against the Zionist-American war machine. The students declared their commitment to fighting in the battle of the promised conquest and holy jihad, to confront the forces of tyranny and global arrogance.
During the event, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, praised the massive popular display at Sana'a University as a demonstration of support for the Palestinian people and a call to fight against the enemies of the nation on behalf of the oppressed peoples and regimes.
He pointed out that the aggression had previously targeted Sana'a University, Hodeida, Dhamar, and other provinces, but the participation of these heroes in the field today reflects their commitment to the nation's issues, stemming from their faith, proper education, and sense of responsibility.
"We do not believe that only the army can bear the responsibility. According to the Islamic concept, every individual bears the responsibility to defend his religion, country, and the vulnerable around the world. This is the mentality that the sons of Islam, in Yemen and beyond, should embrace," he stated.
Al-Houthi emphasized that the enemy of the nation is clear—the temporary Zionist entity and the American regime. He called on everyone to take action, stating that those who remain passive are the true losers. He also highlighted the significant contributions of the great martyrs who gave their lives in jihad for the sake of Allah and for the Arab nation's cause.
"What have the submissive leaders of the Arab regimes offered, other than humiliation? They are looked down upon, even by the regimes they support. Meanwhile, we face injustice against the people of Gaza and Lebanon, and we must continue our active efforts in the Battle of Awareness and the Battle of Jihad for the sake of Allah," he stressed.
Al-Houthi also criticized the Arab armies for their lack of discipline and their failure to act in defense of Palestine while it is under attack. "Where are the Arab armies? The resources spent on them seem useless, and their inaction in the face of Gaza's suffering is evident," he remarked. He further pointed out that the people of the nation must direct their focus on supporting Gaza, rather than remain silent in the face of oppression.
Addressing the student participants, al-Houthi praised the students of Sana'a University for their activism and commitment, stressing that their parades and actions in support of Palestine are significant, not just symbolically but in building the nation's future and confronting its enemies.
Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Saadi expressed pride in participating in this honorable event, noting that it was part of a broader national movement to reject injustice and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. He stressed the importance of this event in highlighting the role of Yemeni people, leadership, and armed forces in supporting Palestine, particularly as America and Britain seek to obstruct these efforts.
Al-Saadi emphasized that the student demonstration confirmed the link between knowledge and sacrifice, and the crucial role that university graduates play in raising awareness, building determination, and taking responsibility for jihad and faith.
Dr. al-Qassim Abbas, rector of Sana'a University, congratulated the students on their graduation from military courses. He noted the heightened responsibility of the university community in light of ongoing aggression, the massacres in Gaza, and the continued failures of Arab and Islamic regimes. He stressed the importance of exposing the truth and confronting the agents of colonialism embedded within Arab and Islamic nations.
Dr. Abbas reaffirmed the university's role as a platform for knowledge, guiding thought, and military training. He emphasized that everyone in society shares the responsibility to be vigilant and ready to confront the Zionist enemy, which operates without morals, religion, or humanity.
He concluded by calling for the victory of the Palestinian people, who are enduring one of the most brutal genocidal campaigns in history, as they suffer from siege and starvation under the watch of the world’s imperialist regimes, foremost among them the United States and Israel.
