OCHA: Zionist enemy continues to prevent and obstruct entry of aid to Gaza

Gaza-Saba:

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the Zionist enemy authorities continue to prevent and obstruct the majority of humanitarian aid missions throughout the Gaza Strip.

The UN office added in a statement on Friday that of the 12 requests of the United Nations to coordinate humanitarian movements submitted on Wednesday, six requests were categorically rejected, three were canceled by the organizers due to security or logistical challenges, while one request was approved but faced many obstacles by the Zionist enemy, and two others were facilitated and completed.

OCHA noted that two attempts to reach the besieged parts of the northern Gaza Strip governorate were rejected.

Despite access restrictions and insecurity, "aid organizations are working hard to help the most vulnerable, as the humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate," the statement said.

OCHA continues to receive daily reports of civilian deaths and injuries across Gaza due to ongoing hostilities, which also cause widespread destruction and displacement.

The UN agency stressed the need to protect and avoid targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals.
