Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society organized solidarity vigils across all its branches in response to a call from the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, demanding the formation of an independent international investigation committee into the crime of targeting its medical teams in Rafah Governorate, southern Gaza Strip.
The attack resulted in the martyrdom of eight paramedics while they were performing their humanitarian duties.
According to the Sana News Agency, during the vigils held on Wednesday, the Society called for revealing the fate of four of its detained team members held by the Israeli occupation forces, most notably paramedic Asaad Al-Nassasira, who has been subjected to enforced disappearance since the same attack.
In its statement, the Society emphasized that the protection of paramedics and healthcare providers is both a legal and moral responsibility, warning against the continued violation of international humanitarian law through the targeting of medical personnel.
