The Public Works Sector in the capital secretariat and its branches in the directorates removed many slums and distorted appearances from the main streets in various directorates.
The campaign, which lasted nine days with the participation of a number of concerned offices, as part of efforts to improve the general appearance and enhance the beauty of the city, targeted the removal of more than seven thousand and 667 random and illegal signs on lighting poles, and 386 tents and concrete barriers that distorted the general appearance and impeded traffic.
The campaign included maintenance work for three thousand and 136 lighting poles in the streets using 60 equipment and mechanisms in all directorates.
The head of the Works Sector at the Secretariat, Engineer Abdul Salam Al-Jaradi, confirmed that the campaign came within the framework of a comprehensive plan to improve the urban appearance, enhance the sustainability of cleanliness and facilitate traffic movement in the streets.. praising the results achieved during the campaign.
He called on citizens and shop owners to cooperate with the efforts made to ensure the improvement of public services and reduce the distorted appearance of the capital's streets and highlight its aesthetic appearance.
