Gaza - Saba:
Hamas on Monday called on the United Nations to work on bringing in relief supplies and tents to protect hundreds of thousands of displaced civilians from the cold, as a result of the ongoing Zionist aggression.
According to the Palestine Today Agency, the movement said in a statement "The humanitarian and legal duty of the international community and the United Nations requires urgent action to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Strip, which has been subjected to a Zionist crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing that has been ongoing for about 15 months."
The movement's statement came in response to the increase in deaths in the Gaza Strip due to the severe cold wave and the low pressure system, and the martyrdom of seven citizens, including six infants, in dilapidated displacement tents, due to the severe cold and the lack of heating means.
The movement demanded the provision of basic needs such as shelter, food, water, medicine and heating, and obligating the Zionist enemy to stop its aggression and lift its siege on more than two million people facing ethnic cleansing and inhumane living conditions imposed by the occupation.
