The Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA), chaired by Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayyash Qahim, discussed on Monday how to develop the Authority's programs and activities in the fields of civil aviation and meteorology.
In its fourth regular meeting of the current year, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Transport - Chairman of the Authority's Board of Directors Yahya Al-Sayani and board members, the board reviewed the level of achievements and projects implemented during the past period in the Authority's various sectors.
The meeting discussed the recent Israeli attack on Sana'a International Airport, which targeted the airport's infrastructure, including the control tower, arrival and departure halls, navigation devices, amidst a shameful international and UN silence.
The meeting emphasized strengthening capabilities through training and qualification of the Authority's cadres to ensure the development of performance in all areas of civil aviation and meteorology.
The Board of Directors praised the role of the Yemeni airplane crew who managed to land successfully at Sana'a airport despite the Zionist bombing, reflecting high professionalism and efficiency under emergency circumstances.
The meeting came up with a number of recommendations and positive results that contribute to the development of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority and its various sectors.
