Gaza - Saba:
A number of Palestinian citizens were martyred and injured on Wednesday as the Zionist enemy warplanes bombed various areas of the Gaza Strip on the 453rd day of the aggression, which coincided with the first day of the new year 2025.
Palestinian media said the Palestinians bid farewell to the year 2024 with more than 23,000 martyrs, bringing the death toll from the Zionist aggression to more than 45,000 martyrs and more than 108,000 injuries since October 7, 2023.
The media added that in the early hours of dawn, the Zionist enemy warplanes bombed a residential area that includes the Nile desalination plant and a number of houses on the old Gaza Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.
Paramedics recovered the bodies of eight Palestinian martyrs and injuries from a house belonging to the "Taroush" family in the town of Jabalia, north of the Strip, and the enemy army blew up residential buildings in the north of the Strip.
The media added that the Zionist army issued evacuation orders for residential blocks in Al-Boraij camp in the middle of the Strip on the first day of the new year, coinciding with artillery shelling that hit large parts of the camp.
Two Palestinians were reportedly martyred and injured as a result of the enemy artillery shelling of the Abu Zaher family house in Block (9) in Al-Boraij camp in the middle of the Strip.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the Zionist artillery continued its shelling of the northwest of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip and the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis, media added, as a number of Palestinian citizens were injured in Israeli shelling on the Abu Taima family house east of Khan Younis.
