Gaza - Saba:
The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the occupied Palestinian territories, Rick Peeperkorn, said that hospitals in Gaza Strip have been crippled, stressing that the health sector has disintegrated and is heading to the point of no return.
In media statements on Friday, Peeperkorn called for independent and transparent investigations into all Zionist attacks on hospitals and health facilities in Gaza Strip.
He explained that there are currently only three partially functioning hospitals in Gaza Strip, and they need more oxygen and medical supplies to continue their work in order to treat the most serious cases.
He added that the Zionist enemy has taken 34 hospitals out of service, which has completely decimated the entire health system in Gaza Strip by destroying them through direct targeting.
He pointed out that the enemy army prevents the travel of more than 25,000 patients who need to travel for treatment abroad.
