The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Sunday, that the Russian air defense systems destroyed 61 Ukrainian drones last night over Russian territory.
Sputnik Agency quoted the Russian Defense as saying in a statement: "Last night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones against targets on Russian territory were stopped."
The statement added: "The air defense systems on duty destroyed 61 drones, as 37 drones were shot down over the territory of Rostov Oblast, 20 drones over the territory of Bryansk Oblast, two over the territory of Voronezh Oblast, one over the territory of Belgorod Oblast, and one over the territory of Oryol Oblast."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces target, almost daily, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
In turn, the Russian forces continue to carry out their special military operation, with the aim of disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats to Russia's security through it, and protecting civilians in the Donbas region, who have been persecuted by the Kiev regime for years.
