AC Milan turned a two-goal deficit against its rival Inter into a 3-2 victory in a match that brought them together on Monday, in the Italian Super Cup final.
Inter took the lead with a goal scored by Argentine Lautaro Martinez in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half with a powerful ground shot from inside the penalty area.
At the start of the second half (minute 47), Inter doubled the score through its Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi with a powerful shot.
Milan then rose up to score a goal to reduce the difference in the 52nd minute with a free kick executed by Frenchman Theo Hernandez.
The Rossoneri equalized in the 80th minute through American winger Christian Pulisic, who received the ball inside the penalty area before shooting it to the left of the goalkeeper.
As the game was dying down, English striker Tammy Abraham scored the winning goal for Milan after meeting a golden pass from Rafael Leao with a single touch in the 93rd minute.
Milan won the Italian Super Cup for the eighth time in its history, sharing second place with Inter in the list of most successful clubs in the competition.
Juventus holds the record for the most Italian Super Cup wins with nine titles.
