Madrid - Saba:
La Liga announced on Wednesday its highest annual profits in its history for the 2023-24 season, with revenues exceeding five billion euros, a 3.2% increase over the previous season.
This reinforces La Liga's position as one of the most dynamic and profitable sports leagues in the world.
The league's economic report indicated that commercial profits exceeded the one billion euro mark for the second consecutive year, driven by sponsorship and licensing strategies, as well as increased international expansion. The league also set record attendance figures, with 16 million fans in stadiums, with an average occupancy rate of 75.4% of total capacity.
The league expects further improvement in financial results during the current 2024-25 season, driven by profit growth and improved operating margins.
