The Hague – Saba:
The Republic of Ireland announced on Tuesday that it has applied to join South Africa in its lawsuit against the Zionist enemy entity before the International Court of Justice.
The request comes after the Irish government agreed in December 2024 to join in the case brought by South Africa against the Zionist enemy under the Genocide Convention.
By joining the proceedings in accordance with Article 63 of the Charter, it is possible to make a general statement on how the Genocide Convention at issue is interpreted, as well as the concrete event relating to the basis of the conflict.
In accordance with the said article, Ireland adopts its status as a party to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide of December 9, 1948, the "Genocide Convention", as Ireland considers articles I, II, III, IV, V, and VI of the Convention to be questionable.
