Rabat - Saba:
Hundreds of Moroccans participated, last Tuesday evening, in a protest vigil in front of the parliament building in the capital Rabat, in support of Palestine, and in protest against the Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip.
At the invitation of the Moroccan Front to Support Palestine (non-governmental), dozens of participants carried pictures of Al-Aqsa and Palestinian flags.
The demonstrators offered words of support and solidarity for the Palestinian people, during which they called for continued support for the Palestinian cause, and criticized the targeting of medical personnel and journalists in Gaza.
They chanted slogans calling for freedom for Palestine, such as "Today, tomorrow, liberation is inevitable", "The people want the liberation of Palestine", and "Free people everywhere, no Zionists, no Americans".
They criticized the judicial prosecution of some Moroccan activists because of their activities in support of Palestine.
In Morocco, extensive solidarity campaigns with Gaza continue, including demonstrations, protests, donation campaigns, and solidarity evenings.
With American support, "Israel" has been waging a "genocidal" war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 155,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
